After spending a year in a weird isolation, it felt fitting to do a self portrait project. After testing out multiple different styles, I had the most success when I printed out the physical picture of myself, manipulated it, and scanned it back in. I also scanned in pages from my sketchbooks, and things like boarding passes and parking tickets.

When you use small pieces and large fragments in one composition (blue example) and (narrow strips) , I think it pulls all of your experimentation together. I also like your exploration with movement in the red portrait. There is enough definition to know it is a portrait profile, but it is mostly undefined.
